About
the BITS Pilani Institute:
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani,
which is deemed to be a university, is an all-India Institute
for higher education for men and women, fully residential,
and awards its own degrees. Admissions to all the Integrated
First Degree programs of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus and
Goa campus, for the academic year 2007-08 will be made on
the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS,
Pilani. This test will be referred to as ‘BITS Admission
test – 2007’, in short as BITSAT-2007 hereafter
in this document.

Interested candidates should
register their names for BITSAT-2007 by applying in the prescribed
application form in one of the following modes:
(1)
Complete the application form Online at http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/BITSAT/
and take the print out of the filled form. The printed and
completed application form along with the prescribed fees
of Rs. 600/- in the form of crossed Demand draft should
be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani – 333
031. OR
(2)
Obtain the application form by post from the undermentioned
by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s
name with complete postal address, accompanied by a crossed
demand draft for Rs. 700/- (i.e., requisite fee of Rs. 600/-
+ Rs. 100/- towards postal and handling charges). The form
will be sent by Speed Post / Registered Post. Requests by
post will be accepted only till Mid January 2007.

Demand drafts should be drawn in favour of Birla Institute
of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani payable at State
Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Pilani (Code: 1398) or UCO
Bank, Vidya Vihar, Pilani (Code: 0150). If the demand draft
is payable at any other branch or bank in India, an additional
amount of Rs. 100/- should be added towards collection charges.
