| PreSET-
02 ( Detailed Analysis ) |
| |
Only
two more to go! The second PreSET was a little tougher than
the first one. If you found this paper easy to attempt then
you are on the right track in your preparations for the
final SET.
Section II (Verbal Ability) was again a mixed bag of questions.
The only question which was tough was ‘Analogies’.
These questions will become easy if you have strong vocabulary
skills. Then identifying and assessing the logical relationship
between the given pair of words will make it simpler. The
questions based on the Reading Comprehension, Fill in the
Blanks, Synonyms, Antonyms and Correct meaning of the words
were the ones which must have made you sit up and think.
The simplest of the lot were Errors in parts of the sentence
and Grammatically correct sentences.
In
this PreSET the Analytical and Reasoning Section was the
toughest of all the four sections. It demanded a systematic
approach, and a good deal of practice in logical aptitude.
So strengthen your basic analytical skills which relate
to solving mathematical problems, it will give you a complete
understanding of such mathematical concepts. The next attempt
will definitely be simpler.
The
Quantitative Ability Section was relatively easy as compared
to the previous PreSET. This section would have boosted
your score!
The
General Awareness Section once again required an exhaustive
reading of the newspapers and attempting the online GK quizzes
on the Career Forum website would have definitely helped.
‘If the going gets tough, the tough get going!’
So get tough!
