The
first PreSET is through! One threshold has been crossed
over. Three more to go! Looking back, the paper was a mixed
bag of questions which ranged from being moderately easy
to slightly difficult.
The
Verbal Ability section had a Reading Comprehension passage,
for which you must have had to get your thinking caps out.
They were a little difficult no doubt but do not let this
deter you. ‘Practice makes perfection’! The
antonyms and spellings must have provided some relief as
they were moderately simple. While, rearranging sentences
in a logical sequence, homonyms, fill in the blanks and
sentence error required logical thinking, and synonyms parts
of speech were very straight forward.
The
Quantitative Ability Section was the toughest of all the
four sections. If you found the questions based on numbers
and arithmetic hard to crack, do not lose heart. If one
section gets you down the other pulls you up. The General
Awareness Section was relatively easy, and if you are an
avid newspaper buff and read business magazines regularly,
this section can boost your marks and your morale. The last
and the fourth section, Analytical and Logical Reasoning
one, was by far the easiest of all sections. The questions
based on analytical reasoning, and series required simple
logical thinking. Consistency was the key in answering those
questions based on coding, decoding, mathematical reasoning
and Venn diagrams.
Attempting
the second PreSET will be ‘awesome’ so keep
your spirits up!
