Pune: The state directorate for technical
education (DTE) will release on July 8, the final merit
list for the centralised admission process (CAP) to over
165 non-autonomous engineering colleges in the state.
On Thursday, the DTE had released a provisional merit list,
which is now being scrutinised to settle grievances or corrections.
Over 67,000 seats are up for grabs at these engineering
institutions.
The distribution of seats will be declared on July 10 and
the same will be posted on the DTE’s website www.dte.org.in.
From July 11 to 17, the process for submission of online
submission of option forms will begin. Students are required
to get the receipt of their online forms confirmed at the
designated application receipt centres (ARCs).
In Pune, the ARCs are Government Polytechnic, Pune; Cusrow
Wadia Institute of Technology at Bund Garden road; G.H.
Raisoni College of Engineering (CoE), Wagholi; Jaywantrao
Sawant CoE, Hadapsar; D.Y. Patil CoE, Pimpri; Pimpri Chinchwad
CoE, Akurdi; Rajarshi Shahu CoE, Tathawade; Pune Vidyarthi
Griha CoE, Parvati; Maharashtra Academy of Engineering,
Alandi; Sinhgad CoE, Wadgaon Budruk; Vishwakarma Institute
of Technology, Bibwewadi; Maharashtra Institute of Technology,
Paud road and the Modern CoE, Shivajinagar.
The candidates are required to fill their online applications
and submit the same in order to obtain a registration number.
Also, they have to take a printout of the application and
put the registration number on the same to submit the plea
at the ARC. An official at the ARC will scrutinise the plea
to confirm the online receipt and issue a computer-generated
receipt to the candidate.
As has been declared earlier, three rounds of seat allotments
will be held, followed by one round of counselling to complete
the CAP.
