Bangalore: Students who have joined engineering colleges through the AIEEE, surrender your CET seats before August 25 or face action.

The Karnataka Examination Authority has requested the National Institute of Technology, Suratkal, to send a list of candidates who have selected seats in NIT and other AIEEE institutions under Karnataka quota, as well as medical or engineering seats through KEA.

Many parents and candidates have complained to the KEA that some students blocked seats through AIEEE as well as the CET. As they did not cancel the CET seat at the time of joining, others have been deprived of a place in college. These students are also allegedly retaining the seats with the intention of surrendering them to college managements for financial gain, through middlemen.

CET update

For engineering counselling on Monday, 4,561 seats are available for candidates holding ranks from 37,001 to 42,000.

PGCET counselling resumes

PGCET counselling resumed on Saturday and was conducted for candidates holding ranks 08PF626 to 08PF1275. Counselling will continue on Sunday for candidates holding ranks 08PF1276 to 08PF1900.
